Hitchin` Post Cafe in Molalla

Says they open until 1pm. I get there at 12:05pm and they turn me away saying they are done seating people. I would give you 0 stars if possible.

Small town café with the small town charm but absolutely amazing food and very friendly staff. Service was fast and food was piping hot, coffee was never dry, and the bacon is the best I've ever had from a restaurant. This place is a gem.

The family ate here for the first time yesterday. We thought everyone was very friendly and the service was great. I did unfortunately get the wrong omelette but enjoyed it nonetheless. We really like the atmosphere and prices.

This a small and cozy restaurant. I have had breakfast there several times and it has been very good. It is a little tight seating when the place is full, but that makes it a great place to get to know new people.

Molalla has enjoyed this breakfast, Lunch and Dinner home cooking restraunt as far back as I can recall. Good prices. Especially taisty meats. Fresh blue berries with my French toast. My guide dog is welcome. I have been comfortable going there and the waitress is kind hometown friendly and good at her job. Fast and efficient, or set a spell and chat with friends.

If your looking for home cooking in molalla this is it. The food is well perportioned and not bad on price. The staff is friendly considering half the town eats here and they are always busy. It's best to phone your order and enjoy it at the park or the fairgrounds.

Small but cute place. They were really busy when I went in, kinda a local vibe so you need to know how they work. Just get in and get a seat. Service was good, friendly staff. Food was pretty good. Would go back!

Expect what you see. It's a local, small town, cafe with the basic food, atmosphere, clientele and staff. I grew up going to this type of place and it feels comfortable to me... so there.

Oh my! The food and service was excellent! My friend surprised me with this breakfast stop this morning and have to say I was pleasantly surprised. This place is a small mom and pop place with scrumptious home cooking type food. It's in the heart of Molalla so, if you're in the area and want a great home cooked meal, it is a must go to restaurant! 2 thumbs up for you Gene!

Great place, excellent service and food

Place filled with elderly locals. Staff are kind and know most patrons by name. Slow response time when busy for sure. Had to request my menu. Food here is excellent though and order was prompt, even while busy. I'd eat here again, but I wouldn't drive out of my way for it.

Best small community cafe ever. Whether I’m eating solo or have my little one with me the service is amazing, I judge a lot on how fast my coffee cup will get filled the staff never disappoints. Great food, great coffee and amazing service.

This is an ideal place for breakfast before hiking the trails along Molalla River and the GC16 geocache. Portion size is huge, but you'll need those carbs to fuel your hike.

This place is great! We ordered the biscuits and gravy breakfast and waffles, one with strawberries and one with just butter and syrup. Everything was great. The prices are super reasonable and the waitress was very sweet and accommodating.

One of the better parts about Molalla. A small hole-in-the-wall breakfast place with great omelettes and lots of cowboy memorabilia.

Love this place. Go with an appetite. They have excellent, well, everything. It is home style, old fashioned comfort foods and LOTS of it. The atmosphere is cozy, if a tiny bit loud when it's busy, but expect large family gatherings and all the joy that goes with them. Pay attention to the whimsical signs on the walls and just go to enjoy yourself. Take friends, family, neighbors, strangers, enemies, anyone!

Great tasting food. I've only gone for breakfast. Love their omelets, hashbrowns and occasionally I have their yummy French toast. They are good about cooking when you ask for! The waitstaff are always friendly and efficient! The restaurant itself has a nice western charm for its ambiance.

A very good local little cafe that offers a wide variety of things to eat. It may be close quarters, but you can enjoy the company of others and meet some great people from this small town community. Large portions which make great leftovers for later at a good price. The staff are always welcoming, friendly, and cheerful. This is a place I like to share with my out of town guests when they visit.

Seriously some of the BEST breakfast food I've ever had. Large portions and the waitress was working alone and was extremely quick and efficient. Amazing customer service.

Exactly what I wanted from a small town cafe. Friendly service, lots of elderlies greeting each other by name, hot coffee, all the "country" breakfast items you want. Plus I was the only one trying to use the Wi-Fi so it was nice and speedy.

Wait staff was okay, the prices were outrageous compared to portion size, and a really long wait for the food seeing how there wasn't that many people there. I drive the five miles down the road to Tammy D's if I were you. Just saying.

New favorite breakfast place! Reasonable prices and portions for our family

Ordered a salad and I could literally drain the water from it. My husband's chicken fried steaks gravy was very clumpy. Showed the waitress our food and she pretty much said that's how it is. Wouldn't suggest those items.
